This process is rasterization: the renderer translates vector paths, fills, gradients and text into pixels at your requested output size. The SVG is sanitized before it reaches the preview or renderer, and the source remains unchanged on your device. A higher multiplier creates more pixels for high-density screens or printing, but it also increases memory use and file size.

Preparing vector artwork for a JPG workflow

JPG is useful when a receiving website, form, printer or older application expects a conventional photographic file. It is always opaque, so the selected background becomes part of the image. Choose that colour before conversion instead of relying on a later editor; white is a dependable default for documents and marketplaces, but brand artwork may need another approved colour.

Because JPG uses lossy compression, sharp type and flat colour boundaries can develop faint artifacts at low quality settings. Start around the default quality, inspect lettering and narrow lines, and increase quality when those details matter. Converting to JPG is about compatibility, not preserving editability. Keep the SVG master for future resizing and create a new JPG at the dimensions required by each destination.

Settings that affect the result

Width and height define the artwork's pixel proportions before the resolution multiplier is applied. Keep the aspect-ratio lock enabled to avoid stretching.
